The Pillow Academy Lady Mustangs ramped up the defensive pressure in the second half to find a way to stay undefeated.
Pillow allowed just four points in the fourth quarter and hung on for a 33-31 win over Jackson Prep — moving to 7-0 on the season.
PA trailed 14-5 at the end of the first period and 19-15 at the half. The Lady Mustangs moved out a 29-27 lead at the end of the third.
Sophomore Kaylee Jones paced Pillow with 14 points and six rebounds.
Senior Jane Rob Pannell added nine points and five assists.
The PA boys again struggled to score as Breck Bolin was the top scorer with six points in a 54-17 loss to Prep.
The Mustangs (1-5) trailed 26-4 at the half and 43-9 at the end of the third.
In junior high action, the PA girls beat Prep 47-38 to move to 5-0 on the season.
Madeline Mattox led the Lady Mustangs with 16 points, followed by Ann Warner Bond with 11.
