WEST POINT - Outmanned Oak Hill had no answer for Pillow Academy's multiple offensive weapons and a smothering defense.
Splitting the load between four players, the Mustangs rushed for 287 yards on 45 carries en route to a 35-7 thrashing of the Raiders here Friday night.
Senior fullback Wilson Moses led the ground attack with 80 yards on five carries, while tailbacks Tyler Fondren and Murry Adams had 66 and 55 yards, respectively, with a touchdown apiece. Junior quarterback Will Andrews added 59 yards and two touchdowns on six carries.
"All three positions in the backfield played well, and it's hard to defend all three at one time," PA coach Michael Fair said. "And obviously if those guys are having success, you know the guys up front are doing their job."
The Mustangs, ranked No. 4 in the statewide academy AAA poll, have outscored their opponents 154-15 on their way to a 4-0 mark. They are in first place in the North AAA Division I standings at 2-0.
No. 2 Jackson Academy is 1-1 after losing 27-6 to Magnolia Heights Friday, and Starkville is 0-2.
"We're the only team in Division without a loss. That feels good, but we know we are just fixing to get into the meat of our schedule," said Fair, whose team has this week off before facing JA and Magnolia Heights in back-to-back weeks.
Oak Hill's fourth-quarter touchdown were the first points allowed by the Mustang defense since its first series in the season opener against Lee Academy. Jordan Thompson's 37-yard TD run, however, didn't come against the first-team defense.
Outside of Oak Hill's three-play touchdown drive, the Raiders managed just 62 yards total offense.
Pillow finished with 341 total yards.
Adams, who didn't carry the ball in the second half, had a 6-yard TD run to start the scoring for Pillow in the first quarter. Then sophomore Luke Kimmel had a 4-yard scoring run to hand the Mustangs a quick 14-0 lead.
Pillow didn't score again, however, until the final minute of the first half, when Andrews found the end zone from nine yards out.
"After those two quick scores, we lost a little emotion and played kind of flat. But we came back alive right before the half for a big score," said Fair, in his first year at the helm of the PA program.
The Mustangs put the game away with two touchdowns in the third quarter - one on a 25-yard run by Andrews and a 1-yarder by Fondren.
