A meeting to introduce the Bass Tactix Outdoors Fishing program will be held Tuesday at North Greenwood Baptist Church, hosted by lead pastor Dr. Jim Phillips.
The founder of the Bass Tactix program, Richard Parker, along with PTG Outdoors owner Ron Upchurch and Northern District Coordinator Steven Goss, will be in attendance to explain the program to anyone interested. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.
Kids ages 5 through the eighth grade can be eligible to win thousands of dollars in cash and prizes per tournament. Also, high school age kids from grades 9-12 can win a $45,000 scholarship per tournament.
This is a Christian-based program sanctioned under The Bass Federation (TBF), Students Angler Federation (SFA) and the Fishers of Men National Tournament. Youth ages 5-18 and any adult over 19 years of age are eligible to participate.
Bass Tactix recently partnered with North Mississippi Fellowship of Christian Athletes Outdoors and its leader, Jay Thomason, who resides in Hernando. Thomason is a Greenwood native.
