Greenwood High’s girls and boys teams picked up Region 3-4A wins Wednesday night at home against Yazoo City.
Greenwood is at district foe Rosa Fort tonight.
The Lady Bulldogs knocked off the Lady Indians 45-42 as Antwanette Regular pumped in 15 points, made six steals, blocked two shots and dished out two assists.
Alexzandria Martin chipped in nine points and three steals.
Greenwood, which snapped a three-game losing streak, led 7-4 after the first period, but Yazoo City tied the game at 19-19 by halftime. GHS (9-16 overall, 2-3 in region) held a slim 30-29 lead headed to the fourth quarter.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 22-4 lead after the first quarter en route to a 61-37 victory to improve to 16-9 and 3-2 in league play with their fourth straight win.
Greenwood led 32-17 at the half and 46-22 after the third frame.
DeAndre Smith led Greenwood with 12 points, six boards, two assists and two steals. Quanterius Silas had seven points, seven rebounds, two assists and blocked two shots.
