The Lady Bulldogs of Greenwood High pulled off a second-half rally to beat McAdams High School 47-31 Saturday at the Kosciusko Shootout.
Greenwood (2-1) held a slim 8-6 lead after the first period but fell behind 23-18 at the half. The Lady Bulldogs went on a 17-6 tear in the third frame for a 35-29 lead headed to the fourth.
Antwanette Regular led GHS with 13 points and eight rebounds. Alexzandria Glover and Aliya Herron had seven points each. Glover also had three steals, and Herron had two rebounds. Sinaya McAtee had 10 rebounds.
In the boys game, Columbus defeated the Bulldogs 79-68 at the tournament, dropping GHS to 1-2 overall. Columbus led 23-10 after the first frame, 42-35 at the half and 60-50 after the third period.
Jaydon Nwachi led Greenwood with 23 points. Javardrick Jackson had 19 points, and Montrelle Harris had 13. Jaimartdrick Lawrence tacked on 10 points.
Greenwood plays at O’Bannon Tuesday.
n Amanda Elzy: The Panthers placed three players in double figures en route to a 56-51 win over Pearl High School Saturday at the Kosciusko Shootout.
Isais Collins, Montrelle Boyd and Reginald Miller pumped in 15 points apiece for the Panthers (2-2).
In the girls game, Elzy dropped a 63-34 decision to West Lowndes to fall to 0-4. West Lowndes led 18-12 after one, 28-19 at the half and 48-27 after the third frame.
Ashley Cooper led Elzy with 12 points, and Ashanti Lee had six points.
Elzy entertains J.Z. George Tuesday and goes to McAdams Thursday.
n J.Z. George: The Jaguars and Lady Jaguars dropped games at Calhoun City Saturday as the boys lost 82-53, and the girls fell 64-20.
In the boys game, Calhoun City led 18-14 after the first period, 43-33 at the half and 63-44 after the third period.
Keldrick Glover led J.Z. George (0-3) with 15 points. Malik Branch tacked on 14, and Jordun Normal had 12. D’Anthony McGlothan tallied eight points.
In the girls game, Calhoun led 18-3 after one, 37-9 at the half and 54-18 after the third.
Natajah Basin led the Lady Jags (0-3) with seven points. Tashanda Fleming tacked on six points.

The girls game winner moves on to face Noxapater at 4 Friday, and the boys game winner takes on Noxapater at 5:30 p.m. Friday. The loser of the girls game from Thursday plays the loser of Friday’s 4 p.m. contest at 7 p.m. The loser of the boys game from Thursday plays the loser of Friday’s 5:30 game at 8:30 p.m. Games are scheduled for Saturday starting at 4 p.m.
