Louis Coleman got his second win of the season Wednesday as the Detroit Tigers, with the help of two rain delays, beat the Los Angels Angels 6-1.
Coleman, a Pillow Academy product, pitched 1 1/3 innings of hitless and scoreless relief.
He struck out two and gave up one walk while lowering his earned run average to 1.64.
The Angels’ two-way sensation Shohei Ohtani was rolling along for five innings against the Tigers. However, thanks to the rain delays, that’s all the Los Angeles Angels got from their young star.
With Ohtani out of the game, Jose Iglesias’ two-run single keyed a five-run sixth inning and the Tigers went on to the victory.
