The Trojans of Mississippi Delta Community College look to get back on the winning track as they host Southwest Mississippi Community College Thursday.
Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. in Moorhead.
The Trojans, who are 2-2 overall, fell to 0-2 in North Division play with a 21-6 loss to Coahoma Community College last Saturday in Clarksdale.
Both teams scored a touchdown apiece in the first period, but Coahoma led 12-6 at the half.
The Tigers pulled away in the fourth period to improve to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in league play.
The Trojans had 298 yards of total offense with 172 coming through the air. Quarterbacks Jalon Jones and Justin Hudson combined to go 10-of-30 with an interception apiece.
Kelvin Smith was the leading rusher as he gained 62 yards on 11 carries and scored MDCC’s lone touchdown on the ground.
Jones had 33 yards on nine carries. As a team, the Trojans had 126 yards on 34 attempts.
Stemarion Edwards led the MDCC defense with 15 total tackles (seven solos). Marlon Brown chipped in with nine stops.
Southwest (1-3 overall, 0-2 in the South Division) dropped a 21-13 decision to East Central last week. The Bears have been outscored 144-82 on the season.
One of the big games on tap in the MACCC Thursday is East Mississippi at Northwest. The Lions are 4-0 and 2-0 in the North Division after posting a 49-7 win over Holmes last week. EMCC has outscored its first four opponents by a 186-24 tally. Northwest is 3-1 overall and 2-0 in league play. The Rangers beat Northeast 45-13 a week ago.
Other action slated for Thursday has Coahoma at Holmes, Gulf Coast at Copiah-Lincoln, Itawamba at Northeast, Pearl River at East Central and Hinds at Jones.
