The Midsouth Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) recently released the football schedules for its member schools. Pillow and Carroll Academy will both kick off their 2022 seasons Aug. 19, while Delta Streets Academy will get started on Aug. 26.
The Mustangs, members of District 1-5A, get going against rival Kirk Academy in a game to be played in Grenada. They travel to North Delta School on Aug. 26, and return home to face Hartfield on Sept. 2. After an open date on Sept. 9, they visit Magnolia Heights on Sept. 16. Pillow goes to JA on Sept. 23, and entertains Bayou Academy on Sept. 30.
The Mustangs visit Starkville on Oct. 7, and finish with two straight home games on Oct. 14 and Oct. 21 against Washington School and Heritage.
Carroll, 6-5 last season, gets going on Aug. 19 at Winona Christian School. The Rebels host Kirk on Aug. 26, and entertain Magnolia Heights on Sept. 2. They go to Clinton Christian on Sept. 9, and host Greenville St. Joe on Sept. 16 in a District 2-4A contest. CA visits Indianola on Sept. 23 in a district game, and host Tri-County on Sept. 30.
The Rebels travel to Oak Hill on Oct. 7 and go to Clarksdale Lee on Oct. 14. They close out the regular season on Oct. 21 with a home district game against Winston.
Delta Streets, which plays in District 1-3A, plays host to Washington School on Aug. 26. The Lions, 3-8 last season, host Indianola on Sept. 2, and go to Sylva-Bay Academy on Sept. 9. They host Central Holmes on Sept. 16 and Benton on Sept. 23.
The Lions visit Winona Christian on Sept. 30, and entertain Riverside on Oct. 7. They go to district foe Rossville Christian on Oct. 14, and host district member Greenville Christian on Oct. 21.
