Greenwood’s Turner Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church will host a health and wellness fair from noon to 4 p.m. Friday at the church, 719 Walthall St.
The fair, organized in conjunction with Plan A Health and the Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health, is free to the public and will feature COVID-19 vaccine doses, including booster shots, blood pressure, COVID-19 and HIV tests, as well as information for family planning and the Rental Assistance for Mississippians Program.
Those who receive a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine are eligible to win a $50 VISA gift card.
A Jackson-based health nonprofit organization established in 2019, the Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health has co-organized several vaccine clinics with churches throughout Leflore County this year.
