Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Wood of Greenwood have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Leslie Dean Wood of Greenwood, to Larry Earl Smith Jr. of Itta Bena.
Mr. Smith is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Earl Smith of Ocean Springs.
He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Houston Smith and the late Rev. and Mrs. Jones Stewart Hamilton, all of Greenwood.
Miss Wood is the granddaughter of Earl Geoghagan of Kosciusko, the late Marie Geoghagan Holland of Greenwood and the late Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Wood of Drew.
The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Carroll Academy. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Delta State University in 2003.
She is employed with the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services.
The prospective bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of Ocean Springs High School.
He is employed at D and T Farms.
The couple will exchange vows at 3 p.m. April 19, 2008, at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Greenwood.
The Rev. Matthew Rowe will officiate.
Friends and relatives of the couple are invited.
