Dorothy Mae Williams of Greenwood announces the engagement and forthcoming marriage of her daughter, Jalissa Monique Williams, to Timothy Deon Terry of Greenwood.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Katherine Terry of Greenwood.
He is the grandson of Bessie Terry of Greenwood and the late Eddie Terry.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of of the late Eddie Mae Parker of Greenwood and the late Eddie Hoover and Annie Hoover of Pickens.
Miss Williams is a 2008 graduate of Greenwood High School. She is pursuing a bachelor's degree at Mississippi Valley State University.
She is employed by Murphy Oil Corp. in Greenwood.
Mr. Terry attended Mississippi Valley State University, where he majored in social work.
He is employed by the Leflore County School District.
The couple will exchange vows at 3 p.m. Aug. 6, 2011, at Strangers' Home Baptist Church in Greenwood.
A reception will follow at the Leflore County Civic Center.
