Dr. and Mrs. Robert Cecil White Jr. of Greenwood announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Ashley Claire White, to Glenn Paul Murray of New Baltimore, Mich.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn George Murray of New Baltimore.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Mario Rudolph Venetilli of Warren, Mich., and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Eugene Murray of Spring Hills, Fla.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Shelley Huddleston Phillips of Greenwood and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cecil White.
Miss White was a 2003 graduate of Pillow Academy, and a 2007 magna cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in biology. She received a Bachelor of Science in nursing at Mississippi University for Women in 2009 and completed her Master of Science in nurse anesthesia from Lincoln Memorial University in 2012. She is employed by Metropolitan Anesthesia Alliance in Memphis.
Mr. Murray is a 2002 graduate of Anchor Bay High School in New Baltimore and a 2006 graduate of Michigan State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in physiology. Before entering medical school in 2009, he worked as a medical technologist at Saint John’s Hospital and Detroit Medical Center. He is a fourth-year medical student at Lincoln Memorial University’s School of Osteopathic Medicine.
The couple will exchange vows at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 21 at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Greenwood.
