Anna Katherine Thames and Marcus Daniel Biggers II were united in marriage Feb. 6, 2010, at First-Trinity Presbyterian Church of Laurel.
The Rev. Robert E. Lee officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Reginald Thames of Laurel.
She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Raymond Davis of Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Thames of Decatur.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Allen Biggers of Greenwood.
He is the grandson of Mrs. James Marion Biggers of Brandon and the late Mr. Busby and the late Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Daniel Biggers of Greenwood.
Nuptial music was provided by organist Lorenz Maycher. Vocalists were Richard and Holly Green.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a designer gown of point d'esprit appliquéd with Alencon lace beaded with pearls and crystals featuring a sculptured strapless neckline and an a-line skirt edged in a deep border of Alencon lace sweeping into a chapel train. She wore a fingertip veil trimmed in ivory satin, and she carried a hand-tied bouquet of white and cream roses.
Amy Elizabeth Thames, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor, and Christina Hines Hudson served as matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Wendy Nipper Byrd, Rachel Thrash Chew, Emily Lynn Evans, Emily Ann Farley, Sara Biggers Johnson, Laura Taylor Mauldin, Jordan Reinschmiedt Ramsey, Morgan Stone Samuels and Heather Ladnier Stephens.
The bride's proxy was Angie Marie Jackson.
The bridesmaids wore chocolate taffeta strapless dresses fashioned with a shirred pleated bodice and a floor length a-line skirt. They carried tussled pomander bouquets studded with pink roses and brown velvet damask ribbon.
Program attendants were the bride's cousins, Sarah Rebecca Cole and Elizabeth Christine Cole.
Marcus Allen Biggers, father of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Jay Michael Culpepper, Wood Whittington Dale, Thomas Roy Gregory III, Matthew Ryan Horton, Patrick Joseph Johnson, Owen Jefferson Jones III, Nathan McIntosh, Gary Monroe Nash and Morgan Wade Tackett.
Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the Laurel Country Club. Music was provided by the Barlow Brothers and the Hot Sauce Band.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted an elegant rehearsal dinner at the Laurel Country Club.
After a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia, the couple is at home in Memphis, where the bride is a veterinarian in Horn Lake and the groom is a resident in orthopedic surgery at Campbell Clinic in Memphis.
