Marty and Tina Tackett of Greenville announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Samantha Regan Tackett, to Christopher Hunter Smith of Greenwood.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Roy and Susan Smith of Greenwood. He is the grandson of Pete Galey of Greenwood and the late Mary Galey and Margie Smith of Greenwood and the late Vernon Smith.
Miss Tackett is the granddaughter of Charles and Brenda Tackett of Russellville, Arkansas, and Eddie and Helen Satchfield of Cleveland.
She is a 2014 graduate of Delta State University, where she received a Bachelor of Business Management degree. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Delta Mu Delta and Lake Village Assembly of God church in Lake Village, Arkansas. She is employed as a music director and secretary at Lake Village Assembly of God.
Mr. Smith is a 2005 graduate of Carroll Academy and a 2015 graduate of Mississippi Delta Community College, where he received an Associate of Applied Sciences degree in radiologic technology. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Lake Village Assembly of God. He is employed as a radiologic technologist at Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village.
The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m. on Aug. 15 at Delta Resort & Spa in Tillar, Arkansas.
