Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Sewell of Minter City announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Chelsea Marie Sewell, to Joshua Casey Howard of McCarley.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Howard Jr. of McCarley.
He is the grandson of Martha Bailey of McCarley and the late Marcus Bailey and Peggy Howard of McCarley and the late James E. Howard Sr.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Pat Deaton of Minter City and the late Dexter Deaton and Shirley Sewell of Minter City and the late Lewis Sewell.
Miss Sewell is a 2009 graduate of Pillow Academy and a 2012 graduate of Delta State University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is employed as a substitute teacher at Grenada Elementary School and will be employed at Carroll Academy in the fall as a teacher.
Mr. Howard is a 2008 graduate of Carroll Academy and a 2011 graduate of Mississippi Delta Community College, where he received an associate’s degree in industrial electricity. He is employed as a service technician at Atmos Energy.
The couple will exchange vows at 5:30 p.m. June 22 at McCarley Baptist Church. The Rev. Rupert Ingram will officiate. A reception will follow at the Carrollton Community House. The couple will reside in McCarley.
