Lloyd and Susan Calder of Brandon, formerly of Greenwood, announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Chelsea Leah Calder, to Michael Dwayne Scarbrough, son of Malcolm and Cathy Scarbrough of Pearl, formerly of Birmingham, Ala.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Lloyd and Louise Overly of Greenwood, the late Tommy Lee Andrews and the late Noble and Pauline Calder.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Malcolm Scarbrough Sr., the late Ruby Scarbrough, the late Phillis Marie Beason and the late John Stewart Pellham.
Miss Calder is a 2006 graduate of Northwest Rankin High School, and is a 2012 graduate of Mississippi State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education.
Mr. Scarbrough is a 2007 graduate of Pearl High School, and is a 2011 graduate of Mississippi State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering.
He is employed by Delphi Automotive Systems in Brookhaven.
The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m. on July 14, 2012, at New Haven Baptist Church in Greenwood.
A reception will follow immediately after the ceremony.
