Jessica Lauren Sanders and Robert Matthew Conner were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. on March 26, 2011, at North Carrollton Baptist Church.
Brother Ron Linkins officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Les Sanders of Carrollton.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Conner of West.
The guests were greeted with photos of the couple and programs when they entered the vestibule.
Another table was set aside with photos of the deceased grandparents of each couple.
At the lightning of the memory candle, Melanie Woods sang "How Beautiful."
During the ceremony, the guests were entertained by solos sung by Melanie Woods, Ronnie Cheek and Terri Bowlin.
The bride entered the sanctuary on the arm of her father to the organ playing “Trumpet Voluntary."
The bride wore an exquisite ivory gown by the designer Madeline Gardner. The bodice featured bands of crystal beaded embroidery trim, and the strapless neckline and drop waist had an intricate design overlaying the bodice. A ruched skirt with asymmetrical pick-ups met with the embroidered hemline and chapel-length train.
The veil was embroidered with crystals that enhanced the bridal gown. The bride carried a bouquet of ivory roses laced with diamonds.
Patricia Ethridge provided nuptial music. The wedding director was Jenny Thompson.
The altar columns held ivory hydrangeas, ivory roses, ivory gladiolas and ivy with candles highlighting the satin draping from the columns.
Before giving the bride away, Terri Bowlin performed the song “My First Love" that the bride had specially sung for her father.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was her cousin, Melissa Lauren Goss.
Bridesmaids were Courtney Blaylock, Paula Carnaggio, Rani Carter, Kala Montgomery, Claire Rozier and Keely Sanders.
They were wore floor-length dresses by Alfred Angelo in shimmering teal and champagne.
The dresses featured strapless bodices in champagne with a centered diamond broche accenting the teal skirt. Their bouquets were bundles of hydrangeas with small ivory roses.
Junior bridesmaids were Bailee Goss, Kayla Goss and Kameryn Sanders.
They wore floor-length gowns by Alfred Angelo in shimmering champagne and teal. The dresses featured strapless bodices in teal color with a centered diamond broche, accenting the champagne skirt.
Their bouquets were smaller versions of the bridemaids’ bouquets, hydrangeas with small ivory roses.
The flower girl was Marleigh Grace Goss, cousin of the bride.
She wore a floor-length white dress embroidered with crystals and layers of white chiffon. She wore a halo of miniature roses and baby’s breath with white ribbon cascading out of the back. She carried a kissing ball with three ivory roses centered.
Attending the groom as his best man was his father, Robert R. Conner.
Groomsmen were Brandon Conner, Jeff Conner, Justin McLellan, Wade O'Briant, Clint Sanders and Mitch Sanders.
The ring bearer was Brett Goss, cousin of the bride.
The reception was held at the North Carrollton Baptist Family Life Center.
A drop ceiling featured lights, lanterns and material draped throughout the area.
The tables with teal cloths dotted the reception area. They featured tall clear vases with arrangements of ivory spider mums and hydrangeas intertwined with tall ivory branches with accenting candles.
McCartys pottery was used throughout the food and beverage tables.
The table centerpiece was designed using peacock feathers, gold netting, hydrangeas and candles.
The four-tier bridal cake consisting of vanilla and strawberry layers was surrounded by hydrangeas.
The background was white columns draped with gold satin.
The initial “C” was overlooking the table.
The chocolate groom's cake was in the shape of a shotgun shell and was monogrammed with the groom's initials and the wedding date.
The background was a hunting theme.
As the festivities got underway, the guests enjoyed a candy table of the bride and groom’s favorite candies.
Following the reception, guests made their way outside, where they lit the walkway with sparklers to bid the couple farewell.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal supper at the Carrollton Community House.
A slideshow displayed the lives of the bride and groom over the years.
On the morning of the wedding, a bridal brunch was hosted by Jenny Thompson and Cynthia Goss at North Carrollton Baptist Church.
Members of the bridal party, family and out-of-town guests enjoyed a delicious Southern breakfast.
The bride also treated them to a morning of pampering at Reflections Salon in Carrollton.
The couple enjoyed a honeymoon at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla,.
Following their trip, the couple is at home in Ruleville, where the groom works for Delta Electric Power Association and the bride is attending The Academy of Hair Design in Grenada.
