Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Roy Rozier Sr. of Greenwood announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth Claire, to Tyler Layne Shepherd of Columbus.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Layne Shepherd of Columbus. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Clayton James and Roscoe C. Shepherd, all of Columbus, and the late Cary Catherine Shepherd.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Peggy Ann Lennard of Greenwood and the late H.D. Lennard and the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lusk Rozier.
Miss Rozier is a 2008 graduate of Carroll Academy and a 2012 graduate of Mississippi State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. She is attending the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson and will graduate in May 2016 with a master’s degree in occupational therapy.
Mr. Shepherd is a 2009 graduate of New Hope High School and a 2014 graduate of Mississippi State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. He is employed with the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality in Jackson.
The couple will exchange vows at 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 1 at North Greenwood Baptist Church. Dr. Jim Phillips will officiate.
A reception will immediately follow in the church’s reception hall.
