Betty and Isiah Carter and Bishop Ervin J. Ricks, all of Itta Bena, announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Belinda Michelle Ricks Duvall of Greenwood, to Nyron Radell Richard of Indianola.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Hanner Richard of Indianola and Harry Richard of Memphis.
He is the grandson of late David and Irene McCoy and the late Goldman and Emma Richard.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Clarence Gray of Westland, Mich., and the late Sadie Gray and the late Abraham and Queen Ester Ricks.
Ms. Ricks Duvall is a 1992 graduate of Leflore County High School and a 1997 graduate of Mississippi Valley State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in biology. She is also a 2000 graduate of Mississippi Delta Community College, where she earned an associate's degree in nursing.
She is employed by Greenwood Leflore Hospital, where she is a registered nurse.
Mr. Richard is a 1991 graduate of Gentry High School. He attended Alcorn State University for three years. Mr. Richard is 2008 graduate of the Truck Driving Institute where he earned a CDL.
Mr. Richard is employed by Great Wide Cooperation, where he is an owner/operator truck driver.
The couple will exchange their vows at 5 p.m. Oct. 2, 2010, at Wister Gardens in Belzoni.
