Charles Davis and Sally Morgan Ratcliff of Canton announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sara Elizabeth Ratcliff, to Hunter Thomas Hayes of Decatur.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Thomas Hayes Jr. of Decatur.
He is the grandson of Mrs. Fred Clinton Russell of Decatur and the late Mr. Russell and Mrs. George Thomas Hayes Sr. of Decatur and the late Mr. Hayes.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. James Cunningham Morgan Jr. of Greenwood and the late Mr. Morgan and Mrs. Charles Brown Ratcliff of Canton and the late Mr. Ratcliff.
Miss Ratcliff graduated from Canton Academy in 2007. She earned her bachelor’s degree in 2011 in clinical exercise physiology from Mississippi State University. She received her master’s degree in 2014 in occupational therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Miss Ratcliff is currently working as an occupational therapist at John C. Stennis Memorial Hospital in DeKalb.
Mr. Hayes is a 2006 graduate of Newton County High School. He proceeded to graduate from Mississippi State University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in clinical exercise physiology. In 2014 he earned his master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
He is currently working as an occupational therapist at Laird Hospital in Union.
The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. on March 28 at First Baptist Church of Canton.
