Mrs. Hilda Morehead Powers and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Miller Powers, all of Greenwood, announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Patricia Miller Powers, to Justin Ryan Rutland of Birmingham, Ala.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. James Richard Rutland III of Mobile, Ala. He is the grandson of Arthur William Cash of Mobile and the late Evelyn McDonald Cash.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harris Frederick Powers of Greenwood.
Miss Powers is a 2002 graduate of Pillow Academy and a 2006 graduate of the University of Mississippi. She is employed as a corporate marketing project manager at BBVA Compass.
Mr. Rutland is a 2004 graduate of McGill-Toolen Catholic High School and a 2008 graduate of Auburn University. He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He is employed as a project manager at Max Foote Construction Company.
The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. May 3 at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Greenwood.
