Ann-Hamilton Pittman and Jeffery Ryan Lloyd, both of Brandon, were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Oct. 18, 2008, during a candlelight service at North Greenwood Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Noel Bruce Pittman of Coila.
She is the granddaughter of Mrs. James Hamilton Stowers of Itta Bena and the late Mr. Stowers and Mrs. Earl Wright Pittman of Sunflower and the late Mr. Pittman.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Gene Lloyd Jr. of Brandon.
He is the grandson of Mrs. Jean Eastwood of Brandon and Mrs. Bobby Gene Lloyd Sr. of Pearl and the late Mr. Lloyd.
Dr. Jim Phillips of Greenwood officiated the double-ring ceremony.
Alexandria Gray Funderburk, Sara Lindsay Funderburk, Mary-Hamel Funderburk and Makenzie Bell Funderburk, all of Greenwood, served as program attendants.
Nuptial music was presented by Patricia Etheridge, and Kay Stowers, aunt of the bride, sang "Surely the Presence" and "Our Song," which she wrote honoring the bride and groom.
Grape vine wreaths with arrangements of foxtail fern, lilies, roses, dianthus and button mums greeted guests at the front door of the church.
Fresh foliage and a multitude of pillar candles gave a soft glow to the altar. Placed behind the altar table was a large pedestaled garden urn flowing with elaegnus, foliage, white and peach gladiola, orange and sunset enchantment lilies, orange unique roses, cherries brandi roses, belles of Ireland and white fuji mums.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless ivory radiant taffeta gown with beaded lace at its sweetheart neckline. The fitted bodice draped to the side and flowed into the chapel-length train. Completing the bride's ensemble was a veil of silk illusion edged with Alencon lace and beading.
The bride also wore diamond earrings given to her by the groom's parents, a gold bracelet worn by her mother on her wedding day and a pearl and diamond necklace which was a gift from the groom.
She carried a hand-tied garden styled bouquet of white miniature calla lilies, orange unique roses, orange enchantment lilies, hot pink spray roses and seeded eucalyptus. Tied into the bouquet was an embroidered handkerchief belonging to the bride’s great-grandmother.
Callie Virginia Pittman, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Eleanor Wright Pittman, sister of the bride, Kaley Fincher Barlow and Mary Lindsey Johnson, all of Greenwood; Melinda Rose Brett of Miami Beach, Fla.; Mary Hayes Brown of Charlotte, N.C.; Mallory Nichole Jackson and Jordan Ann Lloyd, sister of the groom, both of Brandon; Laura Suzanne Mims of Flowood; Merrel Boswell Patridge of Olive Branch; Aimee Woodrick Robertson of Gulfport; and Shawn Marie Rutland of New Orleans.
The attendants wore tea-length strapless gowns of sable taffeta with camel sashes. They carried cluster bouquets of orange lilies, green button mums, cherries brandi roses and hot pink miniature dianthus tied with buttercream ribbon.
Kaylis Claire Wallace, cousin of the bride, served as the bride's proxy.
Elizabeth Ann Kalich of Greenwood read scripture during the ceremony.
The bride's mother wore a wedgewood taffeta A-line skirt, strapless ruched top and a bolero jacket. The groom’s mother wore a champagne cap-sleeved dress with ruffled tiers.
Bobby Gene Lloyd Jr. served his son as best man.
Groomsmen were Brian Casey Lloyd, brother of the groom, Kendol Patrick Collins, Chadwick Lawrence Mayfield, Jacob Young Parker, Donald Ralph Purvis Jr., Blake Ryan Sloan, Brian Justin Vanlandingham and Charles Joseph Williams, all of Brandon; and Roger Louis Wright III of Schlater.
Candlelight torches and ferns greeted guests at the reception held at the new Greenwood Elks Lodge.
The bride's table was centered with an arrangement in the bride's colors of orange, hot pink and green. At the center of the arrangement was a large cross, a gift to the couple. The three-tiered buttercream cake was decorated with lilies, roses and spray roses in the bride's colors.
The main food table was centered with a silver urn with an explosive arrangement of snapdragons, belles of Ireland, lilies, green button mums, pink dianthus, orange and cherries brandi roses and eucalyptus foliage.
In the bar area, the groom's chocolate cake, resembling a tree stump, was accented with fresh foliage and grasses.
Both cakes were provided by Pat Ellis of Indianola. Cake and punch were served by Brittney Rae Cox and Lexie, Lindsay, Mary-Hamel and Makenzie Funderburk.
The guest tables were centered with mirrors and tall vases with votive candles. The vases held the bridesmaids' bouquets.
Floral arrangements were designed by Danny Kelly of Bella Flora in Greenwood.
Guests also enjoyed an abundant variety of dinner selections catered by Patty Long Catering of Belzoni.
Kae King of Collierville, Tenn., cousin of the bride, served as wedding director.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Delta Bistro. Earlier that day, a bridesmaids’ brunch at Giardina's was hosted by Rae Cox, Brittney Cox and Kae King, all cousins of the bride.
Following a honeymoon at the Riu Palace Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple is at home in Brandon.
Several parties and showers were hosted by friends and relatives of the bride and groom in Greenwood and Brandon.
