Mr. and Mrs. Larry Dale Pittman of Saltillo announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Heather Faith Pittman, to Alexander Arthur Emplaincourt.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Edmond A. Emplaincourt of Starkville.
He is the grandson of Mrs. W. Virginia Head of Dothan, Ala., and the late H.G. Head and Mrs. Valentine J. Emplaincourt-Dusart of Brussels, Belgium, and the late Nestor L.G. Emplaincourt.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Vera Mims Parker of Hickory and the late Mr. and Mrs. Talvis Filmore Stewart of Itta Bena.
Miss Pittman is a 2008 graduate of Mississippi State University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences.
In 2011, she received a master’s degree in food and nutrition from the University of Mississippi.
Miss Pittman is a registered dietitian.
Mr. Emplaincourt is a 2006 graduate of the International Business Academic Program at Mississippi State University, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and and Bachelor of Arts degree in foreign languages.
In 2011, Mr. Emplaincourt received his Juris Doctor from the University Of Mississippi School Of Law.
The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. on June 2, 2012, at the Chapel of Memories on the Mississippi State University campus.
The reception will follow at Davis Wade Stadium, Club Level, at Mississippi State University.
