Jimbo and Melanie Newman of Coila have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Morgan Anne Newman of Coila, to Christopher Cody Richardson of Inverness.
Mr. Richardson is the son of Harry and Joyce Richardson of Inverness.
He is the grandson of Marie Pilcher of Meridian, and the late Hayden Turner of Kosciusco and the late Lee Thomas and Mary Virginia Richardson of Benton.
Miss Newman is the granddaughter of Billy and Anne Fondren of Coila, Charles and Lynne Gatlin of Coila and James and Susan Newman of Clinton.
The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Carroll Academy. She currently is enrolled in the ADN program at Mississippi Delta Community College and will graduate in 2009 with an associate degree in nursing.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of Tri County Academy. He is a 2007 graduate of Mississippi Delta Community College.
He is employed at Richardson Farms.
The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. June 7, 2008, at North Greenwood Baptist Church.
The Rev. Jim Phillips will officiate.
Friends and relatives of the couple are invited.
