Michael Eugene Nelson and Sherry Clark Nelson, both of Greenwood, have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Sara Jane Nelson of Durham, N.C., to Stephen Heath Ingram, also of Durham.
Mr. Ingram is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Jeffrey Ingram of Shaw.
He is the grandson of Anna Ingram Jones and the late William Wesley Ingram and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Dale Morris, all of Shaw.
Miss Nelson is the granddaughter of Frances Duke Wesley and James Ed Clark, both of Carrollton.
The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Pillow Academy. She graduated from Delta State University in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in marketing. While at Delta State, she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority.
She is employed as an account executive with Capital Broadcasting Company, Fox 50 Television in Durham.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Bayou Academy. He graduated from Delta State University in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in biology. While at Delta State, he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Delta and Beta Beta Beta. He also attended the Cardiovascular Perfusion Program at Texas Heart Institute in Houston, Texas.
He is employed as a perfusionist with Duke University Hospital in Durham.
The couple will exchange vows on Sept. 6, 2008, at North Greenwood Baptist Church.
Dr. Jim Phillips will officiate.
A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony at the Greenwood Garden Club Headquarters.
