Mr. and Mrs. Fernell Booth of Louisville, Ga., announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Claire Booth Taylor, to Michael Dwain Little, a native of Greenwood.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Little Sr. of Greenwood.
He is the grandson of the late John L. Walker and Ruby Walker of Montgomery County and the late Mr. and Mrs. J.W. "Bill" Little of Carroll County.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Butler Waldrop and Mae Smith Booth of Waycross, Ga., and the late T. Walstein Booth.
Ms. Taylor grew up in Louisville, Ga. She is a graduate of Louisville High School and Georgia Southern College in Statesboro, Ga., where she earned a degree in management information systems.
She is employed by Phoenix Systems Inc. of Atlanta, where she serves as project manager of financial software for the company.
Mr. Little grew up in Greenwood. He is a graduate of Greenwood High School and Delta State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in music. He also graduated from the University of Mississippi, where he earned a master's degree in music.
He serves Louisville United Methodist Church as its children, youth and music minister.
The couple will exchange vows at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 23, 2010, at the Louisville United Methodist Church, 301 W. Seventh St., Louisville, Ga., 30434.
The Rev. David Hibberts and the Rev. William T. Smith will officiate at the ceremony.
The ceremony will be accompanied by Jeanie Joesbury of Thompson, Ga., on piano, and Curtis David Malcom of Savannah, Ga., on violin.
A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony at Old Town Plantation, 8910 GA Highway 17, Louisville, 30434.
