Mr. James W. Woodson of Coila announces the engagement and upcoming marriage of his daughter, Kathy Lenora, to Shadron McCaskill of Nashville, Tenn.
Miss Woodson is also the daughter of the late Martha Smith Woodson.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. Sammie McCaskill Jr. and Mrs. Gladys McCaskill, both of Kilmichael.
He is the grandson of the late Mr. Sammie McCaskill Sr. and the late Mary Clemons, the late Mr. William Jones and the late Nancy Jones.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Linwood Woodson and the late Priscilla Woodson, the late Mr. Samuel Smith Sr. and the late Juanita Smith.
Miss Woodson is a 1992 graduate of J.Z. George High School and a 1997 magna cum laude graduate of Alcorn State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. She is a 2000 suma cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University, where she earned her Master of Science degree in elementary education.
Miss Woodson is a member of Bethel Christian Church in Coila and a member of the Greenwood-Itta Bena chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
She is employed by the Greewood Public School District, where she teaches seventh-grade English at Greenwood Middle School.
Mr. McCaskill is a 1993 graduate of Montgomery High School and a 1998 graduate of Mississippi State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in industrial technology.
He is pursuing his Master of Business Administration degree at Mississippi State University.
Mr. McCaskill is a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Kilmichael and a member of the Gamma Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Fraternity in Nashville.
He is employed by Trane Air Conditioning as senior manufacturing engineer.
The couple will exchange vows at 3 p.m. on Nov. 5, 2011, at Burning Bush Missionary Baptist Church in Grenada.
Pastor Rochester Young will officiate.
A reception will follow at Taylor Hall in Grenada.
Friends and relatives of the couple are invited to attend.
