Michelle Ward and Sammie Hendrix, both of Itta Bena, announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Quelondria Taranisha Ward of Itta Bena, to Cordero Martez Perkins.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Cassandra Perkins of Greenwood and Gary Phillips of Chicago.
He is the grandson of B.J. and Louise Harvey of Greenwood.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Florida Payne and Fred Martin, both of Itta Bena.
Miss Ward is a 2005 graduate of Leflore County HIgh School. She attends Mississippi Valley State University, where she is earning a degree in early childhood education.
Mr. Perkins is a 2005 graduate of Amanda Elzy High School.
The couple will exchange vows at 3 p.m. May 29, 2010, at Shiloh No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church in Greenwood.
The Bishop Eddie Young Sr. will officiate at the ceremony.
A reception will follow the wedding at 6 p.m. at the Greenwood Recreational Center.
Friends and relatives are invited to join the couple.
