Mr. and Mrs. Henry Michael Reans of Grenada announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Cheryl Meagan Reans of Greenwood, to Thomas McMillin Howard, also of Greenwood.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas DeWitt Howard of Brandon.
He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ishmael “Red” Howard and Mrs. Robert Clyde McMillin of Brandon and the late Robert Clyde McMillin.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon O'Dell Reans of Sledge and Mr. Jimmy Doyle Denton of Tupelo and the late Mrs. Bonnie Ray Denton.
Miss Reans is a 2002 graduate of Marvell Academy in Marvell, Ark.
She received a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Arkansas in 2006.
She is employed as an elementary teacher at Pillow Academy.
Mr. Howard is a 2003 graduate of Northwest Rankin High School in Flowood.
He earned a bachelor's degree in secondary mathematics education from Mississippi State University.
Mr. Howard is the director of Delta Streets Ministries in Greenwood.
The couple will exchange vows at 5 p.m. on June 9, 2012, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Greenwood.
