Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Lynn Mallette of Greenwood announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Mary Kathryn Mallette of Brandon, to Benjamin Rodgers Russell of Brandon.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wilburn Russell Jr. of Madison.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Otto Buckner of Madison and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wilburn Russell.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Loree Mallette of Greenwood and the late M.L. Mallette and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Wood Jr.
Miss Mallette is a 2003 graduate of Pillow Academy and 2007 graduate of the University of Mississippi, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education.
She is employed by Pelahatchie Elementary School.
Miss Mallette is a member of Chi Omega Sorority.
Mr. Russell is a 2003 graduate of Madison-Ridgeland Academy.
He attended Mississippi State University and will complete his four-year apprenticeship program from Hinds Community College in May.
Mr. Russell is employed by B and B Electrical and Utility Contractor.
The couple will exchange vows at 5 p.m. Dec. 12, 2009, at North Greenwood Baptist Church.
The Rev. Jim Phillips will officiate at the ceremony.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
