Carroll Ann Gunn and Travis James Huebner were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. on April 21, 2012, at Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church in Oxford.
The Rev. Dr. Taylor Moore officiated over the traditional ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Edwin Gunn of Oxford.
The groom is the son of Mr. Dennis James Huebner of Leoma, Tenn., and Ms. Brenda Carroll Huebner of Greenwood.
Music for the ceremony was provided by organist Dr. Steve Taranto and soloist Christian Feazell. “Ave Maria” was sung by Feazell before the ceremony began.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a gown of silky satin and crystal taffeta featuring a sweetheart neckline.
Enhanced by a princess silhouette, the gown bodice was pleated and accented by dramatic beaded lace appliqués sewn onto the netting. The bride wore diamond drop earrings given to her by her mother. The bride wore a chapel-length veil and blusher to complete her ensemble.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses, lily of the valley, freesias and ranunculuses. The groom also wore lily of the valley.
Kirby Laird Holliday of Houston served as matron of honor.
Lauren Annice Watts of Baltimore, Md, served as the maid of honor.
Serving as bridesmaids were Jane DeLoache Mansel of Savannah, Ga; Lucy Jaubert Smith of Nashville, Tenn.; Susan Hughey Gunn, sister-in-law of the bride, of Metairie, La; Helen Rebecca Cornelius of Fort Worth; Anna Catherine Warren of Oxford; and Kathryn Elizabeth Kelso of Brooklyn, N.Y.
Serving as honorary bridesmaids were Elizabeth Thea Harrington of Arlington, Va; Virginia Blair Mize of Brandon; and Lacey Rae Shaver of Washington D.C.
Grace Elizabeth Gunn, niece of the bride, served as the flower girl.
Trey Allen Hindman, nephew of the groom, served as the ringbearer.
Daniel Allen Barry, of Greenwood served as the best man.
Serving as groomsmen were John Paul Gunn, brother of the bride, of New Orleans; Joshua Shawn Gunn, brother of the bride, of Metairie; Harold Hughes Kent III of Hernando; Travis Wayne Dunn of Greenwood; Stacy Vincent Burton of Madison; William Pleasants Mize of Brandon; and Jonathan Michael Holliday of Houston.
Serving as ushers were Robert Anthony Burton of Madison and Howard McGehee Moore III of Ridgeland.
Following the ceremony, a formal reception was held at the Oxford University Club, adjacent to the Square.
The wedding party was transported from the ceremony to the reception site on the historic Double Decker bus.
The bride and groom were introduced from the balcony of the atrium at the Oxford University Club.
Beautifully displayed flowers in the church and at the reception were provided by David Naron of Oxford Floral. The Effie Burt Band entertained the guests.
The couple’s first dance was to “At Last,” which was played by the band and sang by Effie Burt.

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Oxford University Club for family members and close friends.
After honeymooning in St. John’s, Antigua, the couple resides in Oxford.
