The prospective bridegroom is the son of Jim and Susan Sanford.
He is the grandson of the late Lt. Col. James H. and Sally Sanford and the late Jesse and June Orr.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mary Ellen Winters of Greenwood and the late James Winters and Olin and Maurine Goss of Avalon.
Miss Goss is a 2004 graduate of Carroll Academy, a 2007 graduate of Mississippi Delta Community College and a 2009 graduate of Holmes Community College.
She is employed by Premier Rehab in Koscuisko.
Mr. Sanford is a 1997 graduate of Winston Academy, a 2001 graduate of East Mississippi Community College and a 2005 graduate of Mississippi State University.
He is employed by Mississippi State University.
The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. Oct. 9, 2010, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
