Diane Billups and Roy Watson of Greenwood announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Decaria Nichole Billups of Greenwood, to Quincy Terell Griffin of Greenwood.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Thomas and Diane Griffin of Greenwood.
He is the grandson of the late Mae Willie Groves and the late Dora Griffin.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Aretha Jenkins of Webb and the late Annie Tabor.
Miss Billups is a 2001 graduate of Amanda Elzy High School.
She is a certified nursing assistant.
Mr. Griffin is a 2001 graduate of Amanda Elzy High School and a 2008 graduate of Mississippi Valley State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in health physical education.
He is employed by Life Help.
The couple will exchange vows at 4 p.m. Aug. 21, 2010, at the Confederate Memorial Building in Greenwood.
The Rev. Curtis Coates will officiate at the ceremony.
Following the wedding, a reception will be held at the Confederate Memorial Building.
Friend and relatives of the couple are invited. A special invitation also goes out to members of the Amanda Elzy Class of 2001.
