Mary Aubrey Meredith and Guy Santucci were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008, in an outdoor ceremony at the home of the bride's parents on Choctawhatchee Bay in Destin, Fla.
The Rev. Don Goodrum officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Capt. and Mrs. Winfred Doyle Carter of Destin and the late Aubrey Dewitt "Sandy" Meredith Jr. of Minter City.
She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Louis Post Jr. of Greenwood and the late Mr. Post and A.D. Meredith of Minter City and the late Mrs. Meredith.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Edie Santucci of Valparaiso, Fla., and the late Henry David "Ted" Santucci.
He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Maris Martini and the late Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Santucci, all of Utica, N.Y.
Nuptial music was provided by Jacob Mohr of Destin on a guitar that had belonged to the bride's late father.
With a view of the bay in the background, a large white pergola draped in white silk sheers and flanked with Boston ferns completed the setting for the ceremony. The bridal path was covered with a heavy scattering of white rose petals.
The bride was escorted by her step-father to the strains of "Here Comes the Sun."
She wore an elegant strapless gown of candlelight taffeta with a fitted bodice embellished with delicate seed pearls and Swarovski crystals. From the dropped waistline, the skirt flowed into a chapel-length train which was enhanced with silk-covered buttons cascading down the length of the train.
The bride's ensemble was completed with a fingertip veil of silk illusion edged in satin. She wore a double strand of pearls belonging to her maternal grandmother and worn by her on her wedding day.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of coral peonies, orange and coral roses, pin cushion proteas, orange lilies, fuschia dahlias and miniature cranberry vanda orchids.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was her mother.
She wore a formal gown of seafoam green and carried a bouquet of orange and coral roses, dahlias and vanda orchids.
Selby Etheridge Springfield of Vicksburg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Springfield and niece of the bride, served as flower girl.
Her dress was a tea-length gown of white batiste accented with white satin trim on the sleeves, waistline and hem. She wore a halo of dendrobium orchids and carried a white satin basket filled with rose petals.
Jason Schilder of Destin served as best man.
Alexander Dewitt Jorgensen, son of the bride, served as ring bearer.
Robert Louis Springfield of Destin and John Etheridge Springfield of Vicksburg, brothers of the bride, served as ushers.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held on the lawn under the live oak trees. The guests were greeted by hurricane lanterns on wrought-iron pedestals decorated with orange and fuschia dahlias and springeri fern.
Individual tables covered in amber silk tablecloths were placed around the spacious lawn. The centerpieces were antique hydrangeas in silver urns.
Under the tents, the food tables were accented with silver candelabras decorated with lilies, roses and springeri fern.
The bride's table was placed under a large wrought-iron gazebo draped with ribbons flowing from the top. The table was crowned with a white linen tablecloth with an Army-Navy overlay and held the three-tiered wedding cake decorated with roses, dahlias, peonies and orchids.
A chocolate cake topped with fresh strawberries dipped in chocolate was the focal point of the groom’s table.
The cake was served by Heather Simpson of Destin. Punch was served by Mrs. John E. Springfield of Vicksburg and Tammy Sanders of Greenwood. They wore pin-on corsages of orange gerbera daisies.
Jacob Mohr entertained the guests on guitar.
Floral arrangements for the wedding and reception were designed by Christina Coats Springfield of Nouveau Flowers.
Following a honeymoon aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, the couple is at home in Destin, where the groom owns and operates Coastline Tree Service and Landscaping.

Sturdivant of Minter City; Ms. Jessica Phillips, Nathan Sturdivant and Miss Ayla Sturdivant, all of Indianola; and Mr. and Mrs. John E. Springfield and Steed and Selby Springfield of Vicksburg.
A rehearsal dinner was held at La Paz Mexican Cantina in Destin. Relatives and out-of-town guests celebrated the occasion with a buffet meal, and decorations were provided by Melissa Aiken Thurman of Touch the Earth in Destin, cousin of the bride.
A bridal shower and brunch was hosted by Noelle Garrison at her home, where each guest prepared their favorite food and brought the recipe to the bride.
A wine party was given by the bride's mother at her home, where friends and relatives assembled the birdseed bags to be given out at the wedding. Guests dined on a lasagna dinner and a dessert of a mini wedding cake in the bride's chosen flavors.
