Rebecca Hardy Wells of Jackson and Dr. and Mrs. Jack Hamblin McCubbin of Texarkana, Texas, announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Memrie Wells McCubbin of Jackson, to Jason Eric Fortenberry of Madison.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Elaine Beard Fortenberry of Columbia and the late James Carl Fortenberry.
He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Lee Fortenberry, the late Mace Beard and the late Olivia Kemp Gurka.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Warner Wells Jr. of Jackson and the late Memrie Gary Wells.
Miss McCubbin is a graduate of Jackson Academy, the University of Mississippi, Millsaps College and the Mississippi College School of Law.
She is employed by Butler, Snow, O’Mara, Stevens and Cannada PLLC.
Mr. Fortenberry is a graduate of Columbia High School, Mississippi State University and Mississippi College School of Law.
He is employed by Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP.
The couple will exchange vows April 24, 2010.
