Teddy and Ina Jo Maxie of Brandon, formerly of Carrollton, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 2, 2009, at the Christway Church in Brandon.
The couple was married on April 30, 1959.
They have three children, including Sandra Patterson and her husband, Bob Patterson, of Itta Bena, Cynthia Nowell and her husband, Mike Nowell, of Brandon, and Fred Maxie and his wife, Sandy Maxie of McCarley.
They have seven grandchildren, including Cari Jo Rushing and her husband, Marcus Rushing, of Clinton, and Boyd Patterson of Itta Bena, and Josh, James and Brandon Maxie all of McCarley and Lauryn Turner and Hanna Nowell, both of Brandon.
They also have one great grandchild, Walker Rushing of Clinton.
A reception was hosted in their honor by their three children.
Mr. and Mrs. Maxie, who met at Montgomery Drug Store in Carrollton, are retired and live in Brandon.
