Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Mathis of Meridian have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Lauren Lynne Mathis, to Glenn Maxwell Brock III.
Mr. Brock is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Brock Jr. of Lexington.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Brock Sr. of Kosciusko, the late Dorothy McNeer Brock of Lexington and Morris Edwin Johnson of Greenwood and the late Peggy Davis Johnson.
Miss Mathis is the granddaughter of Delores Parker and the late Francis Parker and the late A.D. Mathis and Minnie Lee Mathis, all of Quitman.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Lamar High School. She received a bachelor's degree in family and consumer sciences from the University of Mississippi.
She is employed by Sunbelt BMW-Mazda.
The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Central Holmes Academy. He received a bachelor's degree in agricultural engineering and business technology from Mississippi State University.
He is employed by Progressive Pipeline Inc.
The couple will exchange vows at 5 p.m. Feb. 7, 2009, at Highland Baptist Church in Meridian.
A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony at Meridian Little Theatre.
