Mr. and Mrs. Larry Joe Makamson of Phillipston have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Anna Lauren Makamson of Madison, to Robert Lloyd Hesson of Spring Hill, Tenn.
Mr. Hesson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Hesson of Brentwood, Tenn.
He is the grandson of Mrs. Harold L. Hicks of West Memphis, Ark., and the late Mr. Hicks and Mr. and Mrs. Philip Hopper of Cordova, Tenn.
Miss Makamson is the granddaughter of Mrs. C.H. Whatley of Moorhead and the late Mr. Whatley and the late Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Makamson of Phillipston.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Pillow Academy. She attended the University of Mississippi and transferred to the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
She was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, Kappa Omicron Nu Honor Society and Alpha Eta Honor Society.
She will graduate in May with a master's degree in occupational therapy. Upon graduation, she will be employed at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tenn.
The prospective groom is a graduate of Brentwood Academy. He graduated with honors from the University of Mississippi with a degree in management information systems.
He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
He is employed as a project manager with Psychiatric Solutions in Franklin, Tenn.
The couple will exchange vows at 5 p.m. June 7, 2008, at Paris Yates Chapel in Oxford.
The Rev. Steven Edward Burton will officiate.
