Lindsey Kathryn Lott and Thomas George Humbarger were united in marriage at 5 p.m. on Oct. 4, 2014, at First Presbyterian Church in Indianola.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Vance Lott of Indianola. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. John Robert Bennett and the late Mr. Bennett and the late Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Vance Lott, all of Indianola.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Helms Humbarger of Indianola. He is the grandson of Mrs. George Ernest Smith of Greenwood and the late Mr. Smith and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Weyand Humbarger of Mobile, Ala.
The Rev. Eric Zellner officiated at the double-ring ceremony. Nuptial music was provided by pianist Cyndi Savage and soloist Stephen Pillow, who accompanied himself on guitar.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory strapless A-line gown with an intricately detailed fitted bodice that flowed into a soft chiffon skirt. The empire waist was accented with hand-beaded lace. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of orange unique roses, blue delphiniums, green hypericum berries, yellow roses and burgundy asiatic lilies, wrapped with a handkerchief made from her mother’s wedding dress.
Attending the bride as her matron of honor was her cousin, Lacy Ware Bruton of Leland. Bridesmaids were her cousins, Tory Ware and Alyssa Lott Simmons; her sister-in-law, Jeana K. Lott; and Louise Pannel Turman, all of Indianola. Each wore a navy dress of her choice and carried a fall bouquet of orange unique roses, blue delphiniums and green hypericum berries. Serving as flower girls were Mallie Elizabeth Bruton of Leland and Eloise Claire McDonald of Memphis.
William Helms Humbarger served his son as best man. Groomsmen were William Bradley Humbarger, brother of the groom, and Matthew Thomas Morgan, both of Indianola; John Wood Reed of Inverness; and Stephen Franklin Pillow of Greenwood, brother-in-law of the groom. John Brandon Lott of Indianola, brother of the bride, served as usher. Their dark suits were complemented by yellow boutonnieres.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents, where guests enjoyed a buffet dinner. Family members and close friends of the bride and groom offered speeches that brought both laughter and tears to the evening’s celebration. The couple left the reception to cheers and well-wishes under a canopy of sparklers.
After their honeymoon, the couple is at home in Madison, where the bride is an echo and vascular sonographer at St. Dominic’s Hospital, and the groom is an actor and president of Bellengate Productions LLC.
