Jeffery and Susan Lofton of Brandon announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Julianne Kay Lofton of Brandon, to Christopher Nicklaus Bailey of Orlando, Fla.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Lonnie and Debbie Bailey of Greenwood.
He is the grandson of Edith M. Bailey of Cleveland, the late F.L. “Roy” Bailey and Mrs. Bill S. Howington of Greenwood and the late Mr. Bill S. Howington.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Price and Mr. Martin Lofton of Jackson and the late Mrs. Martin Lofton.
Miss Lofton is a 2007 graduate of the University of Mississippi, where she earned degrees in international studies and German. She is a 2010 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law.
She is on the University of Mississippi School of Law Moot Court Board and a graduate of the Sally McDonell-Barksdale Honors College.
She is employed by the Kirwin Norris PA in Orlando.
Mr. Bailey is a 2007 graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he earned degrees in political science and journalism. He is a 2009 graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he earned a master’s degree in political science.
The prospective bridegroom attends Barry University School of Law.
He is a member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity and an Eagle Scout. The couple will exchange vows at 10:30 a.m. June 5, 2010, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Jackson.
A reception following the wedding will be held at the Old Capital Inn.
The Rev. Paul Sabin will officiate at the wedding.
