Linda and Gary Bankston and Pete and Sonia Lindsey, all of Carrollton, have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Courtney Claire Rose Lindsey of Greenwood, to Douglas Edward Taylor, also of Greenwood.
Mr. Taylor is the son of Mark and Terri Taylor of Greenwood.
He is the grandson of Katherine Taylor and late Robert Taylor and Janet VanEpps and the late Dwayne VanEpps, all of Ludington, Mich.
Miss Lindsey is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Holt of Coila and James Lindsey of Carrollton and the late Margaret Lindsey.
The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Winona High School. She attended the University of Mississippi, where she majored in anthropology and classics.
She is employed as a back-up manager trainee and cashier at Scott Petroleum in Greenwood.
The prospective bridegroom attended Francis Howell North High School in St. Charles, Mo.
He is employed in the maintenance department at The Alluvian in Greenwood.
The couple will exchange vows on March 15, 2008, at the Carrollton Community House. The Rev. Bobbie Dickie will officiate.
Friends and relatives of the couple are invited.
