Stephen Charles LaVere and Regina LaVere of Greenwood announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Veronica Celina LaVere, to Christopher Jerome Davis of Greenwood.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Roger L. Davis and Carolyn E. Davis of Greenwood.
Miss LaVere is a 2001 graduate of Glendale High School and a 2003 graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu program. She is employed as a cake decorator at Veronica’s Custom Bakery.
Mr. Davis is a 2003 graduate of Greenwood High School and a 2008 graduate of Mississippi Valley State University. He is employed as a department supervisor at J.C. Penney.
The couple will exchange vows at 3 p.m. Aug. 15 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Greenwood.
The Rev. Dr. Calvin E. Collins will officiate.
