Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lamar Lancaster of Houston, Miss., announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Kristen Michele Lancaster, to Judson Williford Montgomery of Pontotoc, formerly of Greenwood.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Gerald Jefferson Montgomery Jr. of Greenwood and the late Mr. Montgomery.
He is the grandson of Judson Oliver Williford of Memphis and the late Mrs. Williford and the late Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Jefferson Montgomery of Greenwood.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Virginia Heldt of Houston, the late Joe Heldt of Satsuma, Fla., and the late Mr. And Mrs. Oris Lancaster of Woodland.
Miss Lancaster is a graduate of Mississippi State University, where she earned a degree in human sciences with a concentration in food and nutrition. She completed a dietetic internship at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson.
She is employed as a dietitian with the Mississippi State Department of Health.
The prospective bridegroom earned a bachelor's degree in animal and dairy sciences, also from Mississippi State University. He is employed with the Mississippi State Department of Health.
The couple will exchange vows at 3 p.m. July 24, 2010, at Houston Presbyterian Church.
The Rev. Matt Rowe, rector of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Greenwood, and the Rev. Bill Adams, pastor of Houlka Presbyterian Church, will officiate.
A reception will follow at the Houston Civic Center.
