Martha Jordan of Greenwood and Jermey Smith of Sidon announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Martha Williams of Greenwood.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Jerry and Joyce Smith of Sidon. He is the grandson of Emma Lee Smith of Sidon and the late Elone Smith.
Miss Jordan is a graduate of Delta State University, where she received a bachelor's degree in family and consumer science, and of Jackson State University, where she received a master’s degree in early childhood education.
She is employed at the Mississippi State Department of Health as a health program specialist.
Mr. Smith is a graduate of Leflore County High School.
He is employed as a deputy sheriff at the Leflore County Sheriff Department.
The couple will exchange vows at 4 p.m. on May 10 at Greater Macedonia Church of God in Christ.
Elder Micheal Stewart will officiate.
Following the ceremony, a reception will be held at the Greenwood Confederate Memorial Building.
Friends and family of the couple are invited to attend.
