Hazel H. Jordan and Edward D. Jordan, both of Greenwood, announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Edshundra Shinell Jordan of Greenwood, to Anthony Jason Gary of Greenwood.
Mr. Gary is the son of Johnny Gary Sr. and Bridget Nash Gary of Greenwood.
He is the grandson of the late Rebecca Lee Nash and the late Edward Nash Jr. and William Gary Sr. of Greenwood and the late Gennie Mae Perkins Gary.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Lewis Howard of Greenwood and the late Mable Ruth Howard and the late Brock and Marie Jordan.
Miss Jordan is a graduate of Greenwood High School, Tougaloo College and the University of Mississippi.
She is currently pursuing a specialist degree at the University of Mississippi.
Miss Jordan is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
She is employed by the Leflore County School District, where she is a counselor.
Mr. Gary is a graduate of Amanda Elzy High School and Mississippi Valley State University.
He is employed by the Leflore County School District, where he is a teacher.
The couple will exchange vows at 3 p.m. on Oct. 10, 2009, at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Bishop Roy A. Holmes will officiate at the ceremony.
