Anna and Willie Harris of Greenwood announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Keneisha Jones, to Reginald Maurice Dean, both of Ridgeland and formerly of Greenwood.
The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Donnell Hinton. Her maternal grandparents are Dorothy and Hosea Ward of Greenwood. Her paternal grandmother is the late Lillie Hinton.
Miss Jones is a Greenwood High School highest honors graduate. She received her associate’s degree in nursing from Mississippi Delta Community College in Moorhead and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mississippi University for Women in Columbus. She is employed as a registered nurse at the G.V. Sonny Montgomery Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the University of Mississippi Medical Center, both in Jackson.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Reginald and Margaret Dean of Greenwood. He is the grandson of the late Eliza Harris and Ernest Harris and the late Emerson and Doris Dean.
He is a graduate of Greenwood High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Mississippi Valley State University. He is employed as a special investigative support technician at the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Yazoo City.
The couple will exchange vows at 5 p.m. on Sept. 16 at Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Dr. Calvin E. Collins and the Rev. Jessie Payne Jr. will officiate. A reception will follow at the Leflore County Civic Center in Greenwood.
