Delynn and Marie Cummings of Vaiden have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Rachel Elizabeth Ingram, to James Houston Havens of Greenwood.
Miss Ingram also is the daughter of the late Larry Ingram.
She is the granddaughter of Jarvis and Maxine Cummings of Poplar Creek, Alyne Welch of Vaiden and the late Walter Welch and the late James and Ethelyn Ingram.
Mr. Havens is the son of Mark and Anna Frances Havens of West.
He is the grandson of Lina Havens of West and the late Adlee Havens and the late Harlow and Anna May Pittman.
The bride-elect received a bachelor's degree in secondary English education from Mississippi State University in 2008.
She is employed as a tutor with the Montgomery County School District.
The prospective groom also graduated from Mississippi State University.
He is employed as a wildlife biologist with the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.
The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m. April 18, 2009, at Vaiden Baptist Church.
The Rev. Leon Holly will officiate.
A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony in the church fellowship hall.
Friends and relatives of the couple are invited.
