Cathy Elise Henderson of Hoover, Ala., formerly of Greenwood, and Dr. Jeffrey Clark Carver, also of Hoover, were united in marriage at 5 p.m. June 7, 2008, at Bluff Park United Methodist Church in Hoover.
The Rev. Bill Decker officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Martha Lacey Henderson of Hoover and Bill Henderson of Starkville.
She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lacey and the late Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Henderson.
The groom is the son of Drs. James and Doris Carver of Baton Rouge, La.
He is the grandson of the late Rev. and Mrs. Lloyd Loveday and Lorena Carver of Baton Rouge and the late Clark Carver.
Rebecca Lee of Little Rock, Ark., served as matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Celeste Burton, Andrea Henderson and Heather Hinton.
Bobby Carver of Houston, Texas, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Robert Henderson, Dr. Stefan Hubrich and Donovan Woodside.
Ushers were Dr. Jay Carson and Lt. Col. Chris Setliff.
Guest book attendants were Mary Margaret Mink and Ann Mink.
After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Hoover Country Club.
Following a honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico, the couple is at home in Hoover.
The bride is a 1991 graduate of Pillow Academy. She received a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from the University Medical Center in Jackson and a master's degree in physical therapy from the University of Tennessee in Memphis.
She is employed at the UAB Hospital's Spain Rehab Center.
The groom is a 1993 graduate of Baton Rouge High School. He received a bachelor's degree in computer science from Louisiana State University and a doctorate in computer science from the University of Maryland.
He is employed as a professor at the University of Alabama.
