In celebration of Christ’s love, Anna Claire Hayman and Justin Keith Hitchcock were united in marriage at 5 p.m. on Nov. 16, 2013, on the front steps of the Burrus House in Benoit.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Gregory Hayman of Leland. She is the granddaughter of Dorothy Sorenson of Tok, Ark., and the late Henry W. Witte III and Mr. and Mrs. Billy G. Hayman of Lake Village, Ark.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hitchcock of Indianola. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Young of Itta Bena and the late Mr. and Mrs. S L Hitchcock.
The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Greg Spencer, pastor of First Baptist Church of Indianola. Nuptial music was specifically selected by the couple and was provided by Jared Collins of Leland.
Attending the bride as her maid of honor was Laura Bennett. Bridesmaids were Chelsea Hayman, Ellen Brister Lee, Lacy Smith and Ashley Walker. The flower girl was the groom’s niece Alana Smith.
The groom’s father, Keith Hitchcock, served as best man. The groomsmen were Mike Gilbow, Christopher Hayman, Jerry Hitchcock and Lynn Smith. Also attending the groom as the ring bearer was Cooper Hitchcock.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Burrus House, where guests dined to the couple’s favorite food provided by The Pantry of Greenville. The entertainment for the night was provided by Back 40 of Greenville. The couple danced their first dance to “God Gave Me You” by Blake Shelton.
At the end of the evening, the couple completed the night by exiting through a tunnel of sparklers held by guests.
Decorations were provided throughout the ceremony and reception by Carl and Amanda Cottingham of The Pantry.
The wedding was directed by Angie Gregory of Cleveland. The wedding photographer was Charlotte Stringer of Terry.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a barbecue rehearsal dinner in honor of the bride and groom at the Deer Creek Garden Club in Leland. Festive decorations were displayed by the groom’s mother and sister.
After honeymooning in Grand Cayman and Cozumel, Mexico, the couple is at home in Indianola.
