Ashley Suzanne Gragson of Greenwood and Dr. Samuel Andrew Myers of Meridian were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 29, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church in Greenwood.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Keith Austin Gragson of Greenwood and the late Keith Austin Gragson.
She is the granddaughter of Mrs. William George Gragson of Germantown, Tenn., and the late Mr William George Gragson and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Whitfield Kearney.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Joe Myers of Starkville.
He is the grandson of Mrs. Robert Lee Myers of Weir and the late Robert Lee Myers and Mrs. Roy Long Jackson of Starkville and the late Roy Long Jackson.
The double-ring, candlelight ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Dr. Rusty Douglas.
Given in marriage by her brothers, John Austin Gragson and William Haden Gragson, the bride wore an ivory gown designed by Allure. It featured a lace scooped neck and a V-shaped back. The gown was enhanced by a slim-fitted silhouette bodice with off-the-shoulder cap sleeves and a mermaid skirt. It had a chapel-length train of lace.
She wore ivory-colored veiling with lace applique embellished with pearls, sequins and rocals, and an aquamarine and diamond necklace given to her by the groom.
Serving as maid of honor was Dorothy Jean Hicks of Miami Beach, Fla. The matrons of honor were Angela Swain Gragson of Oxford and Melissa Brown Gragson of Oxford, both sisters-in-law of the bride; and Amanda Myers Thompson of Marion, sister of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Aubrey Field Beckham of Washington D.C., Elizabeth Pillow Day of Memphis, Mariclaire Louise Fancher of Greenwood, Blair McDonald Hull of Ridgeland, Sarah Marie Leard of Jackson, Allyce Wilbanks Majors of Clinton, Anna Jennings Nix of Hackson and Susan Grace Powell of Nashville, Tenn.
Walter Joe Myers served his son as best man.
Groomsmen were John Austin Gragson and William Haden Gragson, both of Oxford, brothers of the bride; and James Joshua Thompson of Marion, brother-in-law of the groom.
Ushers were Jonathan Robert Coker of Starkville, Joshua Thomas Coker of Meridianville, Ala., Ross Martin Merideth of Sikeston Mo., Christopher Clarke Newlin of Meridian, Ryan Allen Novosad of Fort Worth, Texas, Thomas Gregory Schuster of Huntsville, Ala., Blake Oliver Southward of Starkville and Thomas Webster Walters of Vestavia Hills, Ala.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Pleasantview Plantation in Money.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at the Greenwood Country Club.
Following a honeymoon trip to the Dominican Republic, the couple is at home in Meridian, where Dr. Myers is employed by Vital Care Inc., as a clinical pharmacy specialist.
